Ambien.
Ambien (zolpidem) can be prescribed to treat insomnia therefore improving your sleep patterns. Do not take Ambien for a long period of time, as this medicine has been specially designed for short-term treatment. Taking Ambien for a long period may result in developing dependency (you will be unable to sleep without taking a pill). If you decided to stop the treatment after taking Ambien for some time, the following withdrawal symptoms can be experienced: sweating, panic, seizure, anxiety, behavior changes, stomach pain, vomiting, muscle cramps, and nausea. Side effects of Ambien are unlikely but possible and include amnesia, constipation, stuffy nose, nausea, blurred vision, muscle pain, dizziness, forgetfulness, headache, and daytime drowsiness (especially if you got up earlier than 7-8 hours after taking the drug). More serious side effects need to be reported to your doctor right away – they can be: worsening depression, pounding heartbeat, memory problems, hallucinations, difficulty breathing, difficulty concentrating, aggressiveness, suicidal thoughts, shortness of breath, blurred vision, confusion, slowed speech, and vomiting.
